The nineteenth Meeting of the Texas Linguistics Society will take place February 14-15, 2020 at the University of Texas at Austin.
The organizers invite papers from all sub-fields of linguistics. There will be a special session focusing on language contact and bilingualism.
Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes for questions/discussion. There will also be a poster session.
Length: 500 words maximum, excluding examples and references.
Format: Include the paper or poster title and the text of the abstract. The abstract should not include the author’s name, affiliation, or other identifying information. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.
Deadline for submission: November 1, 2019
Extended deadline for submission: November 15, 2019
Notification: December 10, 2019

Restrictions: Submissions are limited to a maximum of two abstracts per person, and no individual may submit more that one single-authored abstract.

TLS will be held at the University of Texas at Austin in the Julius Glickman Conference Center in Robert Patton Hall (RLP). UT Austin is located just a few miles north of downtown Austin. It is accessible primarily via Guadalupe St. which runs along the entire west side of the main campus.
The main airport servicing Austin, TX and the surrounding area is the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Shuttles and taxis are available from AUS, and the route 20 bus has multiple stops near campus.
